Course Information
With its four amateur choruses - including three youth choruses - the CBSO has a wealth of experience in running non-professional ensembles.
The CBSO Youth Orchestra meets at least twice a year, in central Birmingham, for intensive non-residential week-long courses. These are usually held during school half-term weeks and conclude with a public concert in a major Midlands venue. In the 2008-09 season, full rehearsals will take place at CBSO Centre, the CBSO's rehearsal and administrative home, followed by dress rehearsals and concerts at Symphony Hall, Birmingham. The CBSO Youth Orchestra Academy, for a selected chamber orchestra, will take place at CBSO Centre in the summer of 2009.
